For optimal performance, apply MagPlay to clean, smooth, non-absorbent surfaces like painted walls (matte, satin, velvet finish), smooth wood, melamine, glass walls, and doors. If you are unsure if the decal is compatible to your wall, please reach out to us for assistance or CHECK our page about wall types.
Avoid using MagPlay in outdoor environments, humid spaces, or on textured surfaces like plaster, structured or embossed wallpaper, stain-repellent technology paints, fibreglass, brick, or lacquer-painted surfaces.
- Before applying your magnetic decal, ensure your wall is primed for a successful installation. It should be clean, in good condition, and completely dry. If walls were washed wait 72h prior to applying.
- Avoid installing in areas with high humidity, avoid sun exposure (which may stay the colour and affect the adhesive), or walls prone to grease buildup, such as kitchens.
It's crucial to acknowledge that while we take all necessary precautions, the application and removal of the adhesive may carry minimal risks. We recommend exercising extra caution when applying it to painted surfaces and ensuring the quality of both the undercoat and finishing
paint.

The MagPlay Wall is a magnetic wall decal — a thin, self-adhesive magnetic surface you apply to a smooth wall to instantly create a magnetic playwall. One side sticks gently to your wall with our WallKind™ backing; the other is magnetic, so kids can attach magnets, draw and play. It measures roughly 96 × 75 cm.
How do I install my MagPlay magnetic wall decal?
Installation takes just a few minutes and needs no tools. Make sure your wall is clean, dry and in good condition first.
Step 1: Peel back a 5 cm strip of the protective sheet from the adhesive side.
Step 2: Stick that top strip to the wall, then slowly peel the backing down.
Step 3: Smooth the decal on from the centre outwards to remove air bubbles.

What walls and surfaces does the magnetic decal work on?
It works best on clean, smooth, non-absorbent surfaces — painted walls (matte, satin or velvet finish), smooth wood, melamine, glass and doors. Avoid textured or porous surfaces such as plaster, embossed wallpaper, stain-repellent "easy-clean" paints, fibreglass, brick and lacquer, plus humid or outdoor areas.

Will removing the magnetic wall decal damage my wall?
Please read this before you buy. Our WallKind™ backing is engineered to be gentle on walls, and many families take it down or reposition it cleanly. But no adhesive is completely risk-free: depending on your wall type, paint quality and finish — especially older, lower-quality, freshly painted or already-damaged paint — taking the decal down can lift paint or leave marks.
We can't guarantee that your wall or paint won't be affected. We strongly recommend checking our Wall Compatibility Guide and testing a small, hidden area first. If you'd rather avoid any wall risk entirely, choose the Wall + Board Bundle, which sticks to a board instead of your wall.
