Most cheap magnetic wall decals are a thin sheet with a heavy glue on the back. That glue is great at staying put, and just as good at taking paint with it. MagPlay® WallKind Technology is built differently.

Paints sold as washable, stain-resistant or air-cleaning are designed so marks slide off, and sometimes a magnetic wall decal too. Most still work well. They're just the ones we like to hear about first.

Straight on the wall
On a smooth, painted wall, the MagPlay® Magnetic Play Wall Decal is renter friendly as it is. MagPlay® WallKind Technology lets it peel back when your lease ends. Take it slow and warm it first (see below).
On a board
For extra flexibility, or if you'd rather not stick anything to the wall. Hang it on removable strips, lean it on a shelf, or stand it up and move it from room to room.
Up inminutes
No tools, no mess. Grab a second pair of hands if you have one, it makes lining up the arch easier.
- 1Clean and dryWipe the spot with a barely damp cloth and let it dry fully. Dust is the main reason decals don't grip.
- 2Peel the top 5 cmPeel back a 5 cm strip of the backing and line the top up where little hands can reach.
- 3Work your way downPress the top on, then slowly pull the backing down behind it as you go.
- 4Smooth it outPress from the centre outwards to push out any air. That's it. Time to play.
Freshly painted? Give it a month
Paint keeps curing long after it feels dry. Wait at least 30 days before sticking, and your wall and your decal will both thank you.
Moving it? Low, slow and warm
Warm the decal with a hair dryer on low, then peel slowly from a top corner, keeping it low against the wall. MagPlay® WallKind Technology is repositionable, so you can move it a few times. Keep the back clean and dust-free between moves.

Will it damage my walls?
On a smooth, well-cured painted wall, MagPlay® WallKind Technology is designed to peel away gently. Every paint is a little different, so take removal slowly and warm the decal first. If you'd rather not stick anything at all, the board bundles take the question away.
Can I use the magnetic wall decal in a rental?
Yes. There's no drilling, nails or paint involved, and the WallKind backing is made to come off. If your lease is strict or your walls are textured, a board bundle is the no-contact option.
Can I move my PlayWall to another room?
Yes, it's repositionable. Move it a few times rather than every week, and keep the back clean and dust-free so it keeps gripping well.
Does a magnetic wall decal work on textured or brick walls?
Not directly. A magnetic wall decal needs smooth, even contact. Pop it on a board instead and you get the same magnetic play wall anywhere.
My magnetic wall decal isn't sticking well. What now?
Nine times out of ten it's dust or a little moisture. Clean and dry the wall, press firmly from the centre out and give it time. Still not happy? Send us a photo and we'll sort it with you.
What can we use on it?
Your magnetic wall decal loves MagPlay® magnets and other lightweight magnets, magnetic tiles, chalk, whiteboard markers and washable crayons. Skip very heavy magnets so the fun stays on the wall.
